The Qualities of a Hero

A hero is a person who does things for other people and does not expect any thing in return but respect. Someone who thinks of other people before they think of them selves. Elizabeth Zane was a heroine of the revolutionary war. The fort was surrounded by Indians and was running low on gunpowder, so Elizabeth Zane volunteered to run through the gun fire and get powder from Colonel Zane's house. She did not get shot at on the way out, but when the Indians realized what she left for the bullets started flying. Amazingly she made it back to the fort with a bullet hole in her dress near where she had put the powder. Elizabeth Zane is my heroine of the American Revolution.
